Our Country Retreat project in Martinborough, New Zealand was selected for the cover story of Trends Magazine Outdoor Living & Holiday Home Volume 27 No 3. See Country Retreat in this website for our own photos. A dramatic update of a 1950s California ranch into Craftsman-style remake was featured on the cover and in a 12-page article of Better Homes and Gardens Ideas for Your Home Remodel publication. The house was also included in a 2008 kitchen tour.

Our "private clubhouse" project was featured in the November 2009 issue of Pool & Spa Living and Michael discussed his collaborative working style with the builders and contractors. See Private Clubhouse for more information about this project.
The dramatic "room within a room" wine cellar we designed for an Atherton, CA couple was featured in the book Living with Wine: Passionate Collectors, Sophisticated Cellars, and Other Rooms for Entertaining, Enjoying, and Imbibing, published in 2009.
We won the City of Piedmont "Best Low Impact Expansion" Award in 2005 for a sensitive remodel and addition to this historic 1920s Arts & Crafts-style home.
Author Douglas Kent interviewed Michael about designing for fire-prone areas. The interview was included in the book Firescaping: Creating fire-resistant landscapes, gardens, and properties in California's diverse environments.
Our Matching Poolhouse project in the Los Gatos hills was included in Backyard Idea Book that was part of the the Taunton Idea Book series. The poolhouse design closely reflects that of the main house nearby.
