McKay Architecture is a small architecture firm based in Berkeley, California. Our projects are located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, greater California, and now extending to New Zealand. We have been in business since 1990, providing architectural services to individuals, business owners, and developers.

In April 2012, McKay Architecture is moving from Berkeley, California to Wellington/Martinborough, New Zealand. I will stop accepting most work in California and will focus instead on projects in our new home in the southern hemisphere. We are currently concentrating on completing our projects already in progress here in California.

I wish to thank the many people who have helped to make our projects successful. I have had the good fortune to work with a number of very dedicated and talented employees over the years. I have also worked with some very able consultants - engineers, surveyors, geologists, interior designers, arborists, etc. - who have helped shape and perfect our projects. The many builders I have worked with have shaped and influenced my work. With them I have explored new materials and details and have constantly raised the level of our work. Lastly, my wonderful clients have pushed our designs to new levels. I thank you all.
